WE WON!!!! City Council Neighborhood Enhancement Award 2011

Hi Carrie!
Congratulations on being the winner of the 2011 City Council Neighborhood Enhancement Award as a part of the Blooming Neighborhoods Celebration!

This year the Blooming Neighborhood Awards will be presented at the City Council meeting on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. This will give the public the opportunity to share in the event via CATS coverage.
Please let me know who will be accepting the award on behalf of the neighborhood. You will also be presented with your $100.00 check as the winner of the City Council Neighborhood Enhancement Award.

I ask that you bring your award to the Blooming Neighborhood Celebration on Saturday, June 4th, 9 to noon to share with the other neighborhoods about the remarkable folks in Crescent Bend who came together to start a neighborhood association and all of the projects you have taken on to make your neighborhood a better place to live.

CBNA Clean-Up and Haul Away Day May 14, 2011

CLEAN-UP & HAUL-AWAY DAY SATURDAY MAY 14th

Just in case you are checking the blog for information, the Clean-Up and Haul-Away Day is scheduled RAIN OR SHINE for May 14th.  The drop-off site will be at the Bender Corporate Offices on Vernal Pike across from HFI.  The address is 2051 W. Vernal Pike.

If you have things that need to go in a pick-up truck and you have no way of getting them to the site, please call Sharon Roualet 334-3170 and schedule a time for our great volunteers to pick-up your items.  You must be at your residence when volunteers are scheduled to arrive.

 We will be sharing FREE hotdogs at the drop-off site....so prepare to come by and chat with us as our goal is to meet and greet our neighbors.  You have probably received an email or flier by now, but just in case....here is a list of items we cannot take.

We cannot take:

• Medications or prescriptions
• TV's
• Computers or monitors
• Appliances with freon
• Liquid latex paint
• Large construction materials
• Explosives including ammunition
• Asbestos
• Radioactive materials
